What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files that help a website function, remember user preferences, measure performance and, where permitted, support marketing activities.

• Functional: language and user preferences;
• Analytics/performance: visit and usage statistics;
• Advertising/marketing: campaign, advertising and conversion measurement.

Managing Preferences

Unless another appropriate legal ground applies, non-essential cookies are not activated before the user makes an affirmative choice. The preference panel provides “Accept All”, “Reject All” and “Manage Preferences” options. Preferences may be changed later.

Browser Settings

Users may also delete or block cookies through browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent basket, account or checkout functions from operating correctly.

Third Parties and Retention

Where third-party analytics, advertising, payment or service cookies are used, the provider, purpose, category and duration are displayed in the cookie preference panel. Session cookies expire when the browser session ends; persistent cookies expire after the period indicated.

Withdrawal of Consent

Changing a preference does not invalidate processing lawfully carried out before the change. The new preference is implemented as soon as technically possible.
